Another week, another cross country! More children from year 3 and 4 took part in the Godinton Cross Country, running 1.3km!

Well done to all involved. They all ran fantastically. We had some excellent results and perfect examples of team work with Daisy and Tilly running the whole event together.

2015-2016 FIXTURES

Cross Country at Spring Grove

46 children from Year 3 – 6 went to Spring Grove to compete in a Cross Country race, with 300 children taking part. The lower juniors had to run 1km, with the upper juniors running 1.5km. All the competitors did superbly; I was so impressed with all the children who ran fantastically around a difficult course. We had one of the biggest teams at the event, which I was very proud of!

There is a fantastic newspaper article on the Sports Board, noting some of our individual and team successes. Well done, Charlie, May and Mackenzie for coming 3rd overall in their races and Olivia for coming 2nd in her race. The Year 4 boys’ team came 1st out of every team with the lowest number of combined points while the Year 5 boys’ team came 2nd. All the runners gave it their all and they should be very proud of themselves.
