The school offers a broad, balanced curriculum to children of widely differing ability levels. Our curriculum is based around National and County guidelines. Detailed accounts of the school’s response to subjects in the National Curriculum are listed separately.
In the context of a National Curriculum, we believe that children should become literate and numerate. We therefore pursue a phonic reading and spelling scheme and teach tables and the four rules of number, alongside other recognised methods. Without these basic skills it is not possible to develop investigative and problem-solving work.
